Ken's Optical is open and operating as 'normally' as possible under the current circumstances. Until the Virus Threat is over, all frames tried on by customers are sanitized with a bleach based and/or antibacterial cleaner after each customer contact. Social Distancing is being practiced as possible but I will have to be closer to you for a very short period of time for measurements if necessary. I'm sanitizing my hands before and after EVERY customer. I am not wearing a mask nor are you required to wear a mask. I would be happy to put one on if that makes you feel more comfortable. Please do not hesitate to ask.
If you're in need of help with your glasses but are not comfortable coming into the store you're welcome to wait in your vehicle, feel free to call ahead and let me know and I'll come out and offer the best curb-side service I can.
Eye exams are NOT available here at this time. This is an optician's office and I make the glasses only.
If you're a new customer and checking out my (very old, basic and outdated) website for the first time, Welcome! To answer a few questions I'm being asked many times daily... Yes I'm taking new customers! No, you do not need an appoinment! I do NOT do eye exams, you'll need to bring in your Rx or I can duplicate an old pair of glasses under these circumstances. Current turn around time on a new pair of glasses is averaging 3-5 business days but I often CAN get them done quicker if necessary.
If you have glasses to pick up and you would like me to ship them to you, please let me know. Also, if it's outside normal hours but I'm available, I'll meet you at the office to take care of your needs. These are trying times and I absolutely will be here for you.
